  • Very nice park, it is very close to us, but unfortunately, they won't let you in, just those who want to take professional photos of their ceremonies can enter.
  • On December 17, Sardar Group opened Sakura Park with a tree planting campaign, in the presence of senior representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government, including the Minister of Municipalities, the Minister of Environment, the Governor of Erbil and several other KRG officials. Other attendees included Mr. Rashid Mansouri, Consul General of the United States of America, a delegation of diplomats from the Embassy of Japan led by First Secretary Takehiro Tezuka, and some business delegations such as Sumitomo and Toyota Iraq. For his part, the governor thanked Sardar Group for opening the park, which gives a beautiful view of Erbil. For the second consecutive year, Sardar Group has imported 200 trees from Kyoto, the ancient Japanese capital, to plant in public places Airport Street near Toyota Showroom. This friendly initiative between Japan and Iraq began in December 2015 with the first bringing of 200 trees to Iraq. This park will be opened as a symbol of friendship as well as as a tribute and memory of our heroic veterans, just as the sakura tree is associated with a national monument, the spirit of the brave samurai. In the next two or three years, we will enjoy the beauty of the flowers of the sakura tree in spring, they will have a unique and charming sight that the people of Iraq, Kurdistan and the Japanese celebrate together in Kurdistan and Iraq.
