Honoring one of the world's most famous missionaries, Katedrale Nënë Tereza is designed to be among the largest buildings in Pristina. Dedicated in 2010, the Roman Catholic cathedral celebrates the life of Mother Teresa, the nun known for helping the poor in Calcutta, India. Parts of the building remain under construction. Located in the center of the city, the cathedral has robust features, high ceilings, and tall pillars in the inner sections. View its blue, red, and yellow stained-glass windows and marble altar. Climb the observational tower for panoramic views of the city. PutKatedrale Nënë Tereza into our Pristina tour itinerary tool and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Nice church on the inside which is free to enter and relaxing on the inside. To the left hand side is the tower which you can take the lift up for 1 euro 50. It’s a very slow lift but well worth it once you reach the top, with great views over the city and a true 360 degree experience. It’s easy to take photos as the bars are spaced wide apart and you can even see up into the bell tower when they start ringing. Totally worth the small cost for a different perspective on the city, especially if you’re visiting the church already.
  • Its a really nice and interesting building to visit for anyone with interest in history, art or religion. The cathedral I'd often rather empty making it easy to take your time exploring all the different artworks and texts. The cathedral offers guides for singular people and groups.
