Visit the burial site of the Liechtenstein Princely family at Cathedral of St. Florin. Friedrich von Schmidt built this parish church in 1874 on the site of earlier medieval foundations, and it features colorful stained-glass windows over the altar. Look for the graves of Prince Franz Joseph II--the father of present ruling Prince--and his wife, Countess Georgina von Wilczek. The Neo-Gothic church is the center of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vaduz and has held the status of cathedral since 1997. • It's pretty inside but nothing outstanding. It is rather stark as a church but pretty typical for its gothic style.

  • Very beautiful and majestic cathedral. In my opinion, this is one of the main attractions of Vaduz. It is immediately clear that this is the main cathedral of the principality. We were lucky that we were soon after Christmas and the temple was still decorated for the holidays. And I also liked the water drains on the side of the temple in the form of a chimera. If you are in Vaduz, be sure to visit. Both the temple and its surroundings are worth special attention.
  • For a smaller cathedral we enjoyed the stain glass windows, and continued our family tradition of candle lighting and prayer in every cathedral we visit. Easy walking from here to other attractions and restaurants. We went on Father’s Day and got to enjoy some of a large cycling race which finished near the cathedral.
