Three main buildings showcase 42 exhibit rooms displaying many historic artifacts, as well as a natural history collection. Dating back to 1438, the museum building itself has a long and varied history. It has served as the Princely Tavern, a customs house, and the government seat. • The visit to this museum exceeded all expectations! I did not know that the museum is very large and includes a separate building, which has the treasures of Liechtenstein. Furthermore there are diverse exhibitions on each floor. I liked all of these as they are really cool! I advise you to take an audio guide and spend more than two hours to fully enjoy it. Moreover, one floor is dedicated to the history of football, so football fans should definitely give this place a chance. Thank you for such an interesting place!
  • The National Museum found in 1972 a permanent location here, formerly home to the stately tavern. It is very large and distributed on 3 floors. The permanent exhibition focuses on the history and culture of Liechtenstein, but there are also items from the archaeological and natural history collections. The museum hosts a range of temporary exhibitions as well.
