Hike up to the second-tallest point on the island, Mont Choungui, a volcanic mountain standing at a height of 593 m (1,946 ft). On your way, pause for some bird-watching: the site is abundant with a variety of species, some of them very rare, such as Comoro blue and olive pigeons, Mayotte sunbirds, and white-eyes. You may bump into other species that make their home here, including different types of geckos and turtles.     The track is not so easy. Around 30 minutes from easy to almost climbing with the trees' roots. But at the top, the 360° view is awesome ! Pictures on the rock are stunning !!! A must do in...

    Challenging but worth it! Need of patience and courage, but seriously worth it

    MAGNIFICENT point of view!! Like everything beautiful, it has to be earned. Good shoes: it's essential!! A pair of gloves helps too. Suitable for adults less recommended for children... Minimally sporty hike, delicate passages (ascent and descent). Once at the top, we take full eyes. Allow at least 40 minutes Hike started at dawn (4h) to see the sunrise. I recommend
