The National Museum of History of Moldova
The National Museum of History of Moldova, housed in a former boys' gymnasium that was nearly destroyed in a 1977 earthquake, explores world history and the national heritage of the country. The museum holds both permanent and temporary exhibits. Explore fascinating collections ranging from ancient archeological items to more modern pieces, such as weapons and armor and collections of photographs. Of particular note is the 45 x 11 m (148 x 36 ft) canvas and diorama depicting the Iasi-Chisinau Operation, a battle fought in World War II between the German and Romanian forces and Russian forces. The museum offers guided tours in English for a small fee, and there is access to free WiFi in the building's courtyard. Peaceful musem with quite basic things to see. Best part was in the second floor. Seems there has been not so much money to create things here. Stll worth visiting.

One of the first destinations for those who want to get acquainted with Moldovan history. It contains historical valuables from 13th century till the modern history of Moldova. The guides are very nice and are eager to answer any question one may have. Pricewise is very cheap, only 50 cent for entrance. Definitely recommended!
