  • San Carlos Sports Fishing, Run by Philippe and his great staff offers one of the best, safest, comfortable “middle of nowhere” fishing experiences I have ever enjoyed. I've fished with them many times. Around 6, or more. Every trip was special. The accommodations are US acceptable even along the river trips. Be clear this is a true fishing adventure. It is a comfortable injection into a jungle where you have a real chance at a world class Tarpon or Snook. If you are doing a group that includes non-fishing persons there are daily activities like visiting the islands in Lake Nicaragua. Many beautiful hand made crafts and stuff. The rooms are basic, the food is really good. Everybody you meet is honest and good. It is one of the best, remote, world class fishing spots I have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend them. Something I have learned about this very special place is: “go for the longest time that you can”. The longer I stayed the more opportunity I had to be there when world class is being world class. The rest of the time enjoying the good food and good people.
  • Excellent fishing, I’ve been there 4 times, tarpon up to 190 lb.
