On the ground floor, see the fort's storage chambers, then proceed to the large open hall on the first floor. Continue to the second floor, which contains an audience hall the quarters of those who used to live here. From the fort's terrace you can enjoy sweeping views of Rakaposhi. You have to climb up to the fort by foot, taking a path which will lead you along cobbled streets lined with old houses and stores, giving you a taste of the local lifestyle. • An amazing historical fort which gives you a rich perspective of the rulers and the culture of Hunza. The architecture is stunning and it has been preserved in a pretty well manner. The staff at the Fort gives you a very well guided tour of the entire fort. The outside area of the fort gives you some amazing views of the valley!
  • This review isn't about the Fort but the mismanagement and lack of planning. Total waste of money and time. Group they were leading inside were too large that the tail end was in other rooms and could not hear a word guide was saying. If you are claustrophobic then you should avoid this place especially in peak times. I highly recommend Altit Fort against Baltit, its small but you can walk freely instead being shepherd by the guide. It's a shame such a lovely place is ruined by mismanagement during peak times. Having said that, the staff, people and guides are very helpful and friendly.
