Create an itinerary including Taipei Confucius Temple
Inspired by a World Heritage-listed temple in China, Taipei Confucius Temple ranks as one of the capital's most important religious sites. Marvel at the traditional architectural style of the temple, featuring upward-swooping rooftops, support pillars, and wood-paneled doors and walls. Admire the building's colorful decorations, which include dragons and other carvings along the top and edges of the roof. Afterwards, wander the complex grounds to see ceramic reliefs and decorative panels scattered throughout. You'll find a number of English-language informational plaques and displays detailing the history the temple. Plan my day in Taipei using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

  • Every year on Teachers' Day, the Taipei Confucius Temple holds the Confucian Memorial Ceremony. It has been held for more than 80 years since the temple was built in 1930 with funds raised by local gentry.
  • The description for this is wrong. It is not the original home of Confucius, nor 2,000 years old. Haven't been yet, but fyi
