Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Sun): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas and then take an in-depth tour of Museo Larco. Here are some ideas for day two: wander the streets of Miraflores, contemplate the long history of Huaca Pucllana, and then stroll through Circuito Magico Del Agua.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to Lima is an approximately 9-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Punta Cana to Lima.
