Birmingham — 49 nights

City of a Thousand Trades

Britain's second-largest city, Birmingham was known as the City of a Thousand Trades and the Workshop of the World in the Victorian era.
Shop till you drop at Chatsworth House and Longborough & Sezincote Village Shop. Get outdoors at Walks With Hawks and Ladybower Reservoir. Venture out of the city with trips to Moreton-in-Marsh (Cotswold Falconry Centre, Cotswold Archery, &more), Whichford Pottery (in Shipston on Stour) and Cotswolds Distillery (in Stourton). Spend the 5th (Tue) exploring nature at Clumber Park. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Cadbury World, admire the natural beauty at Hidcote Manor Garden, contemplate the long history of Tewkesbury Abbey, and identify plant and animal life at Birdland.
