You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.

Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): take in the exciting artwork at Amazing Metal Art Gallery, see the interesting displays at Museum of Sweets & Selfies, don't miss a visit to 3d Gallery Budapest, then steep yourself in history at Shoes on the Danube Bank, and finally get a taste of local nightlife at Neverland. On the next day, contemplate the long history of Fisherman's Bastion, wander the streets of Castle Hill, explore the historical opulence of Buda Castle, then snap pictures at Szechenyi Lanchid, then pick up some local products at Central Market Hall, and finally examine the collection at House of Terror Museum.

Vienna, Austria to Budapest is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or take a train. In December, daily temperatures in Budapest can reach 5°C, while at night they dip to -1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Wed) so you can fly to Prague.
