Malabo, Bioko Island — 5 nights
The oldest city in Equatorial Guinea, regional capital Malabo represents a monument to Spanish colonial architecture, mingled with modern buildings commissioned since decolonization.Go for a jaunt from Malabo to Luba to see Arena Blanca about 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral de Santa Isabel, get your bearings at Centro Cultural de Espana en Malabo, tour the pleasant surroundings at The Malabo National Park, and don't miss a visit to La Casa Verde.

Equatorial Guinea travel guide
The mainland and offshore areas of Equatorial Guinea offer different flavors for off-road adventuring. The islands boast rainforests rich in endemic wildlife and volcanic rock formations, while the mainland offers a slew of gold beaches. The main port cities, on the mainland and off, hold few real charms for international visitors on vacation in Equatorial Guinea, with the emphasis much more on what lies beyond.
