Prague lures millions of tourists each year with its World Heritage-listed medieval city center--a labyrinth of narrow lanes, bridges, cathedrals, and palaces overlooked by a thousand-year-old castle.
For shopping fun, head to DOX Centre for Contemporary Art or Artel. Get some historical perspective at Staromestske namesti and Lobkowicz Palace. A prosperous silver-mining center during medieval times, Kutna Hora features a well-preserved old town (it's a World Heritage Site) famed for its blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture.
