Whinlatter Forest Park is a quality location for people of all ages, from toddlers to older hikers, there's plenty to do. Whether you're looking to spend an hour and a half walking along the various trails, or if you're looking for a full day mountain biking session, you'll be sure to find what you're looking for here. There are a variety of trails to trek upon at this Forestry Location. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear when embarking upon these. Pushchairs and strollers can travel these routes but it will be a challenge due to steep trails. With a cafe on site, as well as a shop for gifts and mountain bike hire, all you'll need is money for the car park and you're all set. Trails here range from 2km to 10km and vary from route to run, hike or cycle. Each trail boasts a unique view over the nearby lake so you'll be able to capture that picturesque moment when you see it no matter which trail you embark upon. This location is well worth a repeat visit if you can. AT.

What an amazing place! The Foresty Commission is managing and developing this venue with excellence. Car parking, cafe, shop, trails and paths are all so well thought out. Bicycles everywhere, happy family groups and old codgers were all enjoying the day without any trouble at all.
