Beautiful area, the grounds and woodlands and actual castle. An amazing place for sure! Very well kept too! The castle is currently is closed for winter, but will be open for visits again in February 2022. Great picnic area and the lake with miniature replica of Hedingham castle. Tickets must be booked and paid for in advance. Definitely will be back to explore the interior of the castle and spend some more time there!

A great family day out at Hedingham Castle's May Day Fair with lots of activities, food and craft stalls as well as things to watch; the Barbaric Battles were particularly entertaining! The castle itself isn't huge but good to explore with a lovely little coffee shop where you can sit in a castle alcove and soak up the atmosphere. We also enjoyed a walk around the beautiful grounds and saw the gorgeous bluebells in the woods.
