  • We came in for a coffee so this review covers the in-house Brick & Brew cafe as well as the collectables/antiques centre which we hadn't visited before as lockdown got in the way. Nice little cafe...

  • Our food was delicious, the chef here works hard & offers quality adult dishes. However… this restaurant is not particularly baby/young child friendly. After finding their singular highchair myself hidden amongst the buckets, mops & cleaning signs I was dismayed to find it was without any harness. Not being someone to complain without trying to first give the establishment the chance to rectify the problem, I asked if there was another chair or if they could fashion some kind of harness themselves. We were told that that would breach safety regulations… So we were just left to wrangle a one-year-old who has recently learnt how to climb out of a highchair… oh yes that was much safer. 🙄 So anyone with twins or maybe young mums/parents meeting for a coffee both needing a highchair are pretty much up the stream without a paddle here… We ordered two Caesar salads… No lettuce today ma’am. Pardon? I would have to conclude this restaurant does not, by their actions or menu appear to particularly want to attract children. I’m sure many reading this will find that to be a distinct advantage…maybe they weren’t children once?
  • Busy, but still a few parking spaces available. Parking is free as long as you are a patron. They regularly refresh the stock, so worth visiting frequently. Great breakfast, happy staff, lovely to have a look around.
