One of the oldest science museums in the United States, Boston Children's Museum opened its doors in 1913. Explore the interactive exhibits, which investigate subjects like art, construction, music, mechanics, science, and live performance. Highlights include the giant Hood Milk Bottle that was once an ice cream stand and an authentic silk merchant's home from Japan. The museum was awarded the National Medal for Museum and Library Service in 2013 for its programming and community contributions. Great place for young children. Very organized and the split sessions helped to control the number of people in the building. Exhibits were interesting and engaging.

Really fun museum for kids. Went on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn’t crazy busy. If you have under 3s, book a time in the dedicated play space.

A fun place for the kids. 3 floors of activities for kids or all ages. It does require a reservation, so make sure to make one and buy tickets ahead of time. They have 2 sessions. One In the morning. One in the afternoon. With maybe a 1 hour break in the middle for cleaning. Parking is limited to garages, so find one that the museum validates for. Otherwise, maybe 2-3 hours of fun.

It was a great time. The museum is a great size. We spent some time in there. Great for my 6-year-old, who enjoyed himself very much. It sits on a great view. You’re able to see the Boston Tea Party museum and ships right from the windows. It was fun and interactive.
