Cliff Walk is a 5.6 km (3.5 mi) public access walkway that takes you along Newport’s shoreline. The walk is famous for its views, which combine some of the area’s most famous Gilded Age mansions with the striking natural beauty of the rugged coast. Though the majority of the walk is paved, the south end is not, and you will have to scramble on some rocks. It is important to wear walking shoes and tread carefully, as the fine sand that coats the rocks can make them slippery. Bring a bottle of water with you. Nice, scenic walk along the ocean. Some parts are medium to difficult to navigate. Part of the walk requires a detour. May not be ideal for the elderly.

This was one of the most amazing trail I have ever gone to. Literally, every 1 minute walk, we encounter a new magnificent view of the ocean, rocks on the way, places, etc. there was a beach less than 5 minutes walk from the trail. We took the walk at 7:00 pm and we reached the end at about 9:00 pm. Yes, it will take more time if you stay longer to take photos or watch the ocean. After about half an hour walk, we reached a restroom. There was water tap as well. We saw people fishing on the way down to the trail. If you want to be surprised for each scene, I highly recommend this place. You can find the proof from my photos.

I walked from breakers to the north end of cliff walk. Its about 1.2 miles one way. Its beautiful. The view of Atlantic ocean is amazing. There are several points where you could get down and also several points to take photos. Make sure to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes.
